This course is an introduction to Basic Food Safety & Hygiene and is designed for staff who are new to this area. The course is 3 to 3.5 hours in duration and it covers the legal requirements for staff before they commence handling food.

The course is designed around the Food Safety Authority of Ireland's Guide to Food Safety Training Level 1 guidance document.


This is a one day course designed for anyone working in the food industry.  There is a legal requirement for all staff handling food to undertake food safety training commensurate to their duties.  This course will equip participants with the skills and knowledge to successfully implement correct Food Safety Processes & Procedures.  The course is in line with the Guide to Food Safety Training issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FASI).  No previous experience is required to take this course.  The course incorporates HACCP Level 1 & 2.
