Course Overview

On this one day course participants will learn how to carry out DSE ergonomic risk assessments which will help reduce the risk of the associated ill-health effects on users in the workplace.  Under legislation an employer is obliged to assess risks associated with the use of DSE and associated equipment and to reduce these risks. The course is suitable for managers, supervisors and office staff who are responsible for assessing this area of the workplace.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course participants will:

  • Be able to carry out DSE assessments in their own workplace

  • Understand the principles and benefits of good ergonomics

  • Be aware of the associated ill-health effects of DSE use 

  • Be aware of the legal requirements and guidelines regarding the use of DSE and of ergonomic risk assessment
